We offer "ROOM AND BOARD" with services ranging for those suffering temporary limiting illness/situations; to some residents whose admission, will be home for their remaining time of life. Additionally offering “respite†solutions for caregivers, providing the assistance needed for daily living and giving peace of mind to both residents and their families.
Services Include but not limited to:
• Ambulation assistance
• Appointment setting and transportation arranged
• Assistance with daily living activities such as grooming, hygiene
• Barber and beauty services arranged
• Bathing
• Bathing Visits
• Changing briefs
• Compassionate Care
• Competent staff /24 hours a day
• Continence care
• Correspondence Assistance
• Dressing
• Feeding
• Hair care & Shampooing
• Home-style cooking with three nutritious meals daily and snacks
• Hospice supportive care assistance
• Housekeeping and laundry services
• Mouth & Denture care
• Positioning in bed (skin breakdown prevention)
• Religious/Spiritual Visits Arranged
• Showering
• Skin care
• Transfers and Positioning
Miscellaneous Services:
-Appointment setting and transportation arrangements for physician visits, when
that is preferable to Physician coming to Patient.*
-Basic grooming aids (i.e. shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc)
-Coffee, Tea, and Hot Cocoa are always available for residents and their guests.
-Contact information to Visiting Physicians, Podiatrists, Etc.
-Hospice Services referrals where necessary.
-Listings of State, Federal, and Local Agencies which may be of assistance (we
will assist in contacting and making phone calls to refer such agencies to the
families)
-Posted visiting hours can be adjusted (in advance) for special
circumstance, however this is not applicable in emergency/crisis situations.
-Prepare and dress resident for family outings.
-Respite care and day care options are available (see section below).
-Smoking areas available.
-Transfers outside to deck(s), weather and condition allowing
-Will arrange “special event†(birthdays, holidays, etc) parties, luncheons,
etc. for the families, upon request and reasonable notice. ***
-Will obtain “personal request†items (i.e. special grooming or personal care
items, favorite snacks, etc) from a list compiled by the client/guest/family.
* In an effort to contain costs (fuel, liability, increased potential for accidents, additional personnel requirements etc), Ivy Place has opted to not transport clients. However, we will happily prep/dress client to be transported, or make arrangements for transportation as the client/family prefer.
** It is Ivy Place policy to not allow residents/guests to keep cash/checks on-site, thereby eliminating the potential for problems which can arise from this situation. If special request items are wanted/needed, those items will be itemized by client/family. Ivy Place will obtain such items, and an invoice with the cost (receipts) will be presented bi-weekly.
*** With proper notice, we will be happy to prepare “celebrations, or special get-togethers, when taking the resident out of Ivy Place is not practical. These events are purely individualized, and the cost would be born by resident/family.
