West Woods of Niles is an 121 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in Niles. The facility is securely located on eighteen wooded acres just north of the Indiana state line; about four miles north of Notre Dame University.
West Woods has recently undergone extensive renovation and has received much praise for its warm, homelike atmosphere. Both private and semi-private rooms are offered with 24-hour licensed nursing care. The facility also features large secure courtyard and patio areas complete with flower gardens and multiple areas to relax outdoors. In addition to in-house church services, scheduled as well as spontaneous activities occur daily to assist residents with socialization as well as having fun.
West Woods takes pride in its ability to assist residents to regain everyday function with a full team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists. The restorative team compliments these therapies and specializes in restorative dining to help regain independence with the joy of eating. The facility is also equipped to care and support people affected by Alzheimer’s and other related dementias.
